Harm Reduction Syringe Adapter – Patent Pending

Harm Reduction Syringe Adapter

Patent Pending – Designed for collapsed-vein use in NSP packs

Clinical Need

Collapsed veins present a significant challenge for people who inject drugs. Repeated attempts at venous access often leave blood mixed into the preparation, which then clots or congeals. Because preparation is rarely discarded, this re-use drives abscesses, bloodstream infections, preventable limb loss, and in severe cases, death. Standard syringes were not designed for this scenario.

The Solution

This patent-pending syringe adapter clips securely between syringe and needle. It provides a small blood-check chamber for clear flashback, allowing venous access to be confirmed without contaminating the main preparation. Once access is confirmed, both chambers can be cleared safely. The device is compatible with standard syringes and NSP distribution.
